thinking of you

Not sure what this technique is called, but I call it the tent card..I will be giving a demonstration Saturday showing how easy this is to do. I don't remember where I found this technique, but the design possibilities are endless.

Happy Birthday

I made this card for a demonstration I'll be giving at the SWARM. Very easy to do and the decorative possibilities are endless. When time permits, I'll post the demo on this. A big thank you to Michael Strong for this technique.

Cuttlebug Challenge Wednesday-Sketch

Two of my favorite color combos!..This was done for a sketch by the talented Valerie Salmon at http://www.cuttlebugchallenge.blogspot.com/ Papers used were DWWV and K&Company. Prima bling and flowers. Fiskars border punch and cuttlebug embossing on the bird and brown card.

SWARM

This weekend I will be attending a SWARM in Punta Gorda. We are the Cricuteers in Paradise and going with the theme Cricut-ritaville..Yep, doing the Jimmy Buffet right down to the Cheeseburger in Paradise on Friday night..!! BettyBee is hosting this event and from what I'm seeing so far, it is going to be blast! We were partnered up and asked to make a name tag/place card and I thought the 'foo foo' drink idea would work.

Happy Birthday

On Friday, February 20, I spent a few hours at BettyBee's house to take part in an online challenge sponsored by Split Coast Stampers. We were given a challenge every 45 minutes, but no way could we get our challenge done in that time because we were having so much fun!..Thank you Betty for sharing your house, your scraproom and your scrap supplies with me.

For this card we were to use something new. I used Betty's cuttlebug embossing folder and her Calligraphy cartridge for the font. Simple card with a little added sparkle using stickles.

Just for You

This challenge was called 'One True Love' and was to be monochromatic. This was easy for me since I love the new papers I bought and my orange Prima flower!

All Purpose

With this challenge, we were to use a circle and and heart as shown in a sketch. AND make it for something we love. Well, I love flowers!!..Thank you Betty for your handwritten 'flowers' for my card.

Thinking of You

For this card it had to do with chocolate candy. For the different kinds of chocolate, there was a color set to work with. I may have choose dark chocolate, but can't remember. I do know I wanted to use some awesome papers I had just purchased from Michaels so whatever set of colors worked, that was the candy...lol..

Monday Challenge at Cuttlebug Challenge

Bright and sunny, one of my two favorite color combos. The ribbon actually matches the flowers, but no matter what I did, it kept looking like blue. BettyBee is hosting today's challenge at Cuttlebug Challenge with using the color yellow..

Happy Birthday Flower Card

This card was actually done for two challenges. One was for flowers and the other was to make a shape card. I used my Cricut and DS to make the flower card. I punched a heart shaped hole and then used a ring adding flowers, ribbon and a watering can charm. Added a little more embellishement and I was done..quick and easy!!

Journal Tag Challenge Layout

For this challenge at Have Your Way With Paper, I was to do a layout with a journal tag. I cut one from my Cricut and then embossed it with the Swiss Dot Cuttlebug folder. A seperate piece of paper was stamped then journaled.

Cutie Pie

Another challenge for Have Your Way With Paper. This was for a 'recipe' challenge that was to include 3 flowers, 3 buttons stips of paper and something metal. I just had to use Ian's sweet face for this one!!

SASSY

This is a layout I did for a sketch challenge at Have Your Way With Paper. Also, I included it with a color challenge by using light pink, dark pink, blue and beige.

Valentine Day Card

This is a card I did for my Card Challenge at www.haveyourwaywithpaper.com. Using a large silk flower, I folded it a few times to give it a different look. Wire ribbon was used for the stem. Cuttlebug dies were used for the hearts

There are no words

I was in an 'orange' mood. I also wanted to use my new large Prima flower!!. I altered Nina's photo in Photoshop and used the lighting effect to give it that awesome light on her beautiful face. The pearls were beige, but I used metallic gold paint to achieve the right look. The flourish is a wood piece I purchased in the window treatment hardware section, but don't remember what store. That too was painted with gold paint and then shimmer mist was used.
