Cuttle Your Pages Friday-8/27

Welcome back to Cuttle Your Pages Friday at Cuttlebug Challenge Blogspot!!

Today we are embossing digital stamps

How exciting to have Digital Delights by Louby Loo as our sponsor this week!  If you checked out our Be Inspired Wednesday, you experienced an array of inspiration from our Design Team.

Today we are embossing those digital stamps on a layout and you will see how easy that is to do.  To get the size you want for your layout, open a blank page in WORD.  Now click on INSERT and go to your file where you keep your downloaded digital stamps.  Once you click on the one you want, it will then be inserted on your blank page.  When you click on the stamp, it will then allow you to size your stamp to what works for your project.  Depending on the size you choose, you can get several on the one page.  Print and cut and you are ready to bring it alive with color!

Having a large format printer, I was able to print my background right on my Core'dinations cardstock. All stamps were colored with my Copics and then glittered up with Stickles.  The shells around the photo were done with my Paper Doll Dressup cartridge.  My mermaid was printed a couple of times which allowed me to make several cuts for the body and pop dot them.  For the tail and top section, I embossed with Swiss Dots and then used a rub-on by Craft-T products.  The body was embossed with Japanese Scales and that had several colors of the rub-on by Craft-T applied.  My mermaid, tag and fish were popped giving my page more dimension.

Be Inspired Wednesday #98

Today at Cuttlebug Challenge Blogspot, Our sponsor is Digital Delights by Louby Loo. Wendy was gracious enough to send us the complete set of her Under The Sea digital stamps. Please check out her site for some awesome stamps!!

For my challenge, I made a cute little necklace and  gift box. After cutting and coloring my pieces, I gave it a light coating of paper glaze. The box was done using my Tags Bags and Boxes cartridge and Core'dinations cardstock. After embossing with my Swiss Dot folder, I sanded the cardstock to pop the dots.

Cuttle Your Pages Friday August 20

Wecome back to Cuttle Your Pages Friday!!

This week our challenge at Cuttlebug Challenge was to emboss titles on a layout.  Yep, that simple, but how many times do we forget to emboss those letters?  I know I keep forgetting and then when I'm done, I remember there was something I wanted to do.  For my layout, the title was cut using my Base Camp cartridge and Core'dinations cardsock.  I love how the Swiss Dots embossing folder works with this cardstock and sanding it makes it pop more!  Papers used were Me and My Big Ideas.

Here is a sample of chipboard I embossed and then I used rub-ons by Craf-T Products for color and a great affect.

Be Inspired Wednedsay #97

Wow, where did the week go??!!..Once again it's Be Inpsired Wednesday at Cuttlebug Challenge with our challenge being 'book' or anything related to book(s).

For my project, I decided to cover an inexpensive album that I received at the last SWARM (crop) I attended.   The theme of this SWARM was Roundup, so I thought what a fun way to dress up an album for those SWARM photos.!!

Embossing folders used were Stars, Tiny Mosaic and Brick.  The frame was cut using my Pooh and Friends cartridge and Core'dinations paper.  Spellbinders Nestabilities for the tag with computer font.

Cuttle Your Pages Friday August 13

Today I would like to show you how you can emboss a mat for your layout page. For my layout, I used brown Core'dination cardstock and my snowflake embossing folder. Because this is such a great cardstock to distress, I used my sanding block to bring out the under color. This is a very simple design by cutting two pieces of cardstock and designing the placement under my photo. If you are using a larger photo or want more mat coverage, simply prepare more cardstock to work with. I just wanted to show you how a simple technique can make such a difference on a layout page. Because our Be Inspired Wednesday challenge was to use acetate or acrylic, I embossed an acrylic ATC card, by Clear Scraps, with my Swiss Dot embossing folder to give a clean fun addition for my page. Printed cardstock is from My Minds Eye, date from Basic Grey; ribbon unknown. More dimension was added by using my EK Success Snowflake punch.

Be Inspired Wednesday #96

Our challenge this week at Cuttlebug Challenge Blogspot was to do a project with acetate or acrylic. I used a transparent folding envelope box that was a perfect size for my 5x7 Asian folder, Plum Blossoms.  Once I cut the piece I needed from the box, I then adhered it to black cardstock.  For my geisha I used my Kimiko embossing folder and Core'dinations cardstock. After cutting her out, I outlined her with American Crafts Metallic Marker and then brushed across the embossing with my Palette inkpad, vintage cream. Once that was done, I used pop dots to adhere her to an embossed black cardstock that was done using my Bamboo folder. That cardstock was also lined using my American Crafts marker. I pop dot that to gold cardstock by DWVW and finally to a black card.  The finishing touch was adding a charm Orient Express from Blue Moon and Mizuhiki paper cord from Yasutomo and gold glitter glue on the fan.

Cuttle Your Pages Friday August 6

I am thrilled to announce a new feature at Cuttlebug Challenge Blogspot called Cuttle Your Pages Friday.  Each Friday, members of the Design Team will show you how to use your Cuttlebug Embossing Folders on your layout!
Today we are featuring embossed frames.

The two Cuttlebug embossing folders I used were Tiny Mosaic Texture and Grace's Frame. All brown cardstock is Core'dinations which is perfect for sanding. After sanding both, I added metallic rub-on by Craf-T Products for the mosaic frame. Using my X-Acto knife, I cut out the inside of Grace's Frame and for the oval, I used my Fiskars oval template. Once done, I taped the photos from behind the frame and then added Starform Gold Stickers. Other products used were Prima Printed cardstock, Wild Orchid Crafts, Martha Stewart heart sticker, Martha Stewart fan punch, Nestibilities, Dew Drop and Palette inkpads. Ribbon and bottoms, unknown.

Here is the card I made for such an occasion.

Supplies I used:
Ribbon-Martha Stewart
Inkpad-K & Co
Stamp-Hampton Art
Frame-Lacy Labels
Flowers-Prima
Embossing folders-Scroll Work and Devine Swirls
